Storms last night brought 5.6mm of rain (taking the monthly total to
7.6mm). Rainfall was heavy to start with at around 0300Z before turning
lighter and ceasing by 0700Z.
Not much in the way of lightning *except* one enormous flash-bang that
must have struck an electricity pylon some 100m away at 0305Z - made me
jump out of my skin, especially seeing as it was the only lightning
strike that I saw or heard anywhere near here. There was more lightning
away to the south east, but the thunder from that was barely audible.
