Default Charlwood and Thurleigh temperatures, (was Tomorrow's temperatures)

Charlwood seems to be top of the leader board a lot recently - is this
genuine ?

Joe ... it has looked quite iffy since the weekend. Between June 1 and
July 20 Charlwood averaged 0.2 degC below Wisley (on hot Thu
it was exactly 0.2 degC below coincidentally). Since then it has been
+1.4 on Fri, +1.0 on Sun, +1.3 on Mon and +1.2 on Tue. There were
odd occasions before with differences of +1.0 or more, but never
several days in a row.

I'm actually more concerned about Thurleigh (Bedford) which
appears to have shifted sharply on July 5, possibly as a result of
an excessively adjacent lightning strike during the storm on
July 4. From June 1 to July 4 Bedford averaged 0.5 degC below
nearby Woburn, but from July 5 onwards 0.6 degC above.
The daily figures are very consistent, and this is a clear step change.
Reference to other sites indicates that the fault is in the Thurleigh
record, not the Woburn one.
