Note to self: when I retire, buy a big house up in Scotland with a glass
conservatory... I'd have loved watching that come and go!

I seem to recall from Met Office statistics that the further north and west you
go in Britain, the lower the average incidence of thunderstorms. So if it's
spectacular stuff you're after, maybe Scotland isn't the best place to move to
g even if today's sounded incredible. We didn't have anything like that (Moray
Firth) - muggy all day, with some sunny spells, but a north-easterly breeze, and
it's drizzling now.
