Default Advice requested on choosing a weather station

Kevin,

So far as I am aware, Davis won't sell to overseas customers if they have
agents in the country in question. I seem to remember this bering the case
in the past.
They will probably tell you to go to ICS (or John Dann at
www.weatherstations.co.uk provide a pretty good service.)

Hope that helps.

Jim.

Hi folks,

I'm looking to get a weather station for home. I've done a bit of research
and it appears that the Davis Vantage Pro 2 seems to be the best (comments
please!). I've also noticed a huge price discrepancy between the US & the
UK for this product - $500 v £500.

Has anyone bought one from the US? Are there any differences between the
US & European models? I know I'll have to add VAT to it when it's
imported, but anyone know how much the duty is likely to be on one?

I've looked on HM Customs web site and it says compuers are 0% duty rated.
Would his be classed as a computer?

Any advice welcome!

Regards,

Kev
