Default [WR] Warmer today than any time during August in Canterbury

Today's maximum of 27.8C is warmer than the highest temperature for
the whole of August which was 27.4C, exactly a month ago on the 6th
August. Today was the warmest day since 28.6C on the 27th July.

.... still got a couple of degrees to go here in Bracknell before we beat
the August high, as you write, on the 6th of that month (then 28.2,
today 26.3); however, the progs look good to come close or exceed later
this weekend or early next week.

Martin.
