BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD)
0900 SSE F3 20km - 2/AC T184D142
RMK: [CAVOK] - 2Ac~120. Sky has a continental, hazy look to it.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 12.4 grass min: 09.6 precipitation: NIL [24hr total: 00.0
mm]
other data: rather more Ac cas around about a couple of hours ago - one
cell quite 'threatening', but dispersed as it moved north. ]=
1200 SE F3 30km - 2/AC T259D158
RMK: [CAVOK] - 2Ac cas~070/080, 2Ac (thin patches)~100, tr Ci~300.
Feels distinctly 'tropical'; the castellatus towers have well-developed
vertical structure, and are moving from SSW, so a good amount of
directional shear evident (from the surface): double-checked dew point -
seemed a bit high, but same value from wet/dry and direct rh dial.=
1500 SSE F3 30km - 2/AC 6/AC T278D150
RMK: [CAVOK] - 2Ac cas~070, 6Ac~090, total = 6 oktas; base of lower Ac
looking dark & 'wet', as if it would produce a few drops if the lower
air wasn't so dry. Provisional day max. 28.8°C, which is higher than
anything we recorded during August.=
1800 SSW F3-4 35km - 2/CU 4/CI T231D140
RMK: [COTRA] - 2Cu med (to west/assw humid-plume area)~040, 1Ac~070,
1Ac~120, 4Ci/COTRA~280+ (lower to west/assw humid-plume development);
Ac/high-base Sc (both not particularly threatening) increased rapidly in
amount from the SSW over past hour, then decreased just as rapidly
again - wind perked up a shade, as well as veering from SSE to SSW.
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 28.8 precipitation: NIL
other data: Warmest day since 26th July (then 31.1°C). ]=
