Default Dover warmest today

As is common at this time of the year, partly due to the warmest sea
temperatures in British waters and the proximity of a still warm
continental landmass; Dover was probably the warmest spot in Britain
today. My Davis Vantage Pro recorded 24.2 C (topping the Mets official
highest at Herstmonceux of 23.7). A fantastic warm late summer day,
and a balmy evening - temperature 18.1 @2117. It will be a balmy night
again but today's minimum of 17.4 will probably be superceded.

23.7C high here in Canterbury (at 1505Z). Temperature currently (2120Z)
is 18.1C but fell by 1.0C in the last hour. Quite uncomfortable today
with dewpoint around 16C all day (but at least there was a breeze).
