The models show an east/west split, with rain slowly pushing in from the
west towards the weekend. With wind from a southerly quarter, it won't be
cold anywhere.

Southerlies cover the UK, with a low to the WNW and a small but intense low
to the SW. By T+144 the latter vanishes, with SSW'lies across the UK. T+168
sees low pressure fill over Ireland, with light SE'lies and southerlies over
the UK.

The MetO run shows a trough across Ireland, leading to SSW'lies for the UK.
The trough fills over Wales at T+144, with SW'lies for much of England and
northerlies for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

A southerly flow covers the UK with low pressure to the west. One of the
centres moves over Scotland at T+144 with light winds elsewhere. By T+168
the UK lies under SE'lies, as pressure rises over Scandinavia.
