Default Long time, no rain

It's been 22 days since we've had any significant rain here - just 0.8mm
in that time with a bit on 29 Aug, 2 Sep and last night. Looks like
there will be some more rain in the next few days though - we haven't
even had 1% of the normal rainfall yet this month!

September is also proving to be very warm - mean maximum is running at
24.0C, some 5.7deg above average and mean minimum is now 13.7C - 3.6deg
above average. Mean (from maxima and minima) is 18.9C - 4.6deg above
normal and 1.7deg above August!

For once I have been a bit luckier. I had 16mm on the 13th but only 5mm
apart from that. It was enough to green up the grass in places but alas too
late to save a couple of small trees. There is no sign of it now with the
ground dry to as deep as I am prepared to look!
