Not a very good forecast.

Yes,here in Dorset we had a few showers close to 0800 and I had a
quick look at the radar at about that time recalling a radio forecast
of some showers. So I was quite suprised to look at the radar again
about noon and saw a large area of moderate echoes, with us on the
west edge. We got 6.3mm and some heavy bursts too from this French
export No umbrella at work so moved around using a large cardboard box
as cover.Useful but got the usual grins from colleagues
I think a wave got its act together rather quicker than expected - and
of course up came the Warnings at about 1230 ish for areas to our
north east.
The air has cleared now and nice and sunny. I had painted the back
door outside but wisely left it open to dry.

Robin, you have to learn that the best Met. men *always* get caught out in the
weather. Par for the course, badge of honour etc :-)
