Funnily enough, Philip, I also had a holiday there when I was about 12 (that
would have been ca 1950). Was the beached Sunderland flying boat still there
when you had your visit?. It was near Leysdown if my memory serves me.

a holiday on Sheppey, in a tiny caravan at Minster when I
was nine. I still remember the wonderful rocky cliffs and
the fantastic sandy beach ...
