Anyway - it's now October 1st and I still haven't had a night minimum below
10c since June 7th here in Bournemouth. That is unpredecented in the 10
years that I've kept records here - just wondering how unusual it is.
Anyone else had a longer run or not had a minimum below 10c this autumn so
far?
Jim_ I will have a look at my figures for Milton Abbas hopefully
Tuesday a.m.
and may be our member in Fareham will do the same. Being a rural
location I would expect lower night minimum readings.
Since June 7th I've had four 24h minima below 10 deg C and none below
9 deg C. Since June 1st I've had none below 9 deg C but I have no
long term records to compare it with.
We are suburban rather than rural where I live. A mile North of here
(North of the M27) night time minima are likely to have been 1 to 3
degrees C cooler on calm-ish clear nights. I know, I've been out there
not a few times to check!
