can anyone back that up?

I note a [different ?] Cambridge Station reporting 6.1 mm total for 6th Oct
with Total 10.2mm for month.

also Sawston just to S of Cambridge 7.9 mm on 6th and 8.4mm for month.

Here in Mid Suffolk yesterdays cold front produced 3.8mm.

Thanks, I was away for the day and a colleague said the rain had been
intense but I couldn't quite believe those figures. That university
weather station seems to be very unreliable, one wonders if anyone in that
department actually makes use of the data.
