Default [OBS] Bracknell (Tawfield) Mon 09 Oct 2006

Monday, 09 October 2006
BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD)
0900 S F3 15km - 1/CU 6/SC 6/CI T165D153
RMK: 1Cu hum~012, 6Sc~040 (thin but with only small gaps between
elements), 6Ci~300+.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 12.6 grass min: 10.2 precipitation: 0.3 [24hr total: 00.3
mm]
other data: sporadic light rain second half of night. Air/grass minima
occurred before 2000Z. Classic 'inverse' 24hr temperature profile, with
the 24hr min (12.1°C) occurring yesterday at 09Z, and the 24hr max.
being the current temperature. ]=
1400 SSW F3 45km - 1/CU T199D142
RMK: 1Cu hum~025, 2Sc~045, 1Ac~150, tr Ci~300. A fine day, and
pleasantly warm.=
1500 SW F2 50km - 1/CU 3/AC T197D142
RMK: [RE-SHRA] - 1Cu med~022, 2Cu hum~026, 1Sc~045, 3Ac~080 (edge of
something coming up from the W or SW), 1Ci~300. Recent shower just a few
droplets, but the 'threatening' cloud to the SW/W looks a little more
potent. The wind very 'flukey', so I assume we are within the footprint
of the surface front.=

1800 W F1 25km - 6/SC 8/AC T177D144
RMK: 6Sc~045, 8Ac~080. Cloud spread across within past hour, with wind
falling near-calm & becoming variable for lengthy periods.
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 20.2 precipitation: tr
other data: just the odd 'scrappy' rain shower between 1440Z & 1510Z,
with no impact upon surface or visibility, though I see from the
radarnet that we are living a somewhat charmed life as the frontal-link
(with 'coloured' pulses) is immediately to the NW of us! ]=
