Further to my report at 1710 UTC. Showers or rain more or less continuousd
since 1630, although now very light. Rainfall just read at 1800 UTC - 5.1mm,
most of which fell between 1647 and 1712.

Eric - 3.8 mm fell here to 1800z, most of which fell in two heavy
showers heaviest around 1520z and 1625z. There was much more rain
around Junction 11 M4; when I came through there about 1645z the Three
Mile Cross roundabout was awash (although it does flood easily there) -
looks to me to have been at least 10 mm fall there. It was dry when I
left Bracknell about 1620z and the rain only began on the A329M;
traffic on M4 was stationary at times, probably due to the conditions.

Light level fell to just below 2 W/m2 - dark, to all intents and
purposes! - at 1624z.
