"Martin Rowley"
0900 SE F3 4500 2000S -TS RA BR 2/ST 6/ST 8/SC //CB T159D155

.... heavy rain (+RA) for past 5 mins (as at 0912Z), but still only
the odd muffled rumble of thunder.

.... moderate or heavy rain in equal measure until 0935Z (accompanied by
thunder with a frequency of about a discharge per 2 to 3 mins), then
settled into a steady (current) moderate, with thunder at decreased
frequency. Total rainfall in past hour 13.1mm. Thunder 'cells' appear to
be drifting south-to-north, developing / decaying fairly quickly. A
distinctly gloomy day - some streetlights on.

Martin.
