Seriously, it's the same with those screen messages at stations that
announce that platforms are slippery when wet. Now the fact that
wet surfaces are more slippery than dry ones is something we
learn by about the age of five. So it is inconceivable that anybody
able to read such a message would be unaware of that.
So it's not about warning people but merely covering their backs
in the event of a claim so they can say that people were warned.
A sad reflection on our increrasingly litiigeous society, unfortunately.

Increasingly infantile, also. It's legitimate for a 5-yr-old
to wail to his Mum "You didn't tell me not to" but not so for an
adult.

Thats not a warning, more like a prediction, depending on who you listen
to....
