Default Snow arrives in the highlands of central Greece

Good evening, all.

I managed to find some figures for the rain fallen so far in the
westernmost refecture of Crete, that of Chania. First tab: station
name. Second tab: ppn on Oct 17th (mm). Third tab: October totals so
far (mm).

Georgioupolis...............238................... ............420
Tavronitis.......................64............... ................300
Varypetro.....................170................. ..............258
Alikianos......................165................ ...............248
Kakopetros...................125.................. .............215
Elos...............................58............. .................182
Agrokipio......................111................ ..............180
Chalepa (Chania)...........62,4........................... ..175
Drapanias......................47................. ..............159
Paleochora....................37.................. ...............51
Chrysoskalitissa............14.................... .............46

The White Mountains (in western Crete too) have lots and lots of snow.
Imagine these figures in snow above 1400-1600m (highest summit is
2452m).
