I wonder if the old weather 'memory effect' trick will ruin your forecast
again WIll? Could it be that the Dartmoore Office will have to issue an
apology for the late arrival of autumn, due to the wrong kind of trough
disruption on the isobar lines at Penzance.. ;-))

The last few weeks have taken a knock on my confidence of the synoptic
charts beyond 48h. It just goes to show how difficult it is not just to
predict the detail, but general changes in the weather as well. I do a
review for work and the H+120 has sometimes shown little relation to the
analysis.
We all know that when it comes to winter conditions - you have to look at
H+24 for any real idea - and even then its far from a cert!
