Martin,
I have a mercury barometer, mercury in glass thermometers, a coal fire
which I love, a 4x4 which I find useful, a Subaru Impreza turbo as a
toy that drinks fuel at an alarming rate and I use aeroplanes once a
year for a holiday away from the depressing UK climate. No doubt I do
other really environmentally awful things as well. I'm also very happy
which is probably the worst thing of all.
I await a knock at the door.
(When they do arrive I'm ready for them because I do have lots of fuel
saving gimmicks on my central heating system and around the house, keep
fit and slim so as not to trouble the NHS, don't drink too much so as
not to trouble the neighbours and police, help in the community through
Parish Council, School Governor, Village Hall, schoolboy football etc
etc)
