Even though it looks a bit of a heavy-handed approach, I imagine it
represents the uncertainty in the track of the system(s) and that fact
that we're having two pulses of strong winds expected - the FSXX T+48
and T+60 for 00Z and 12Z Sunday show the two pulses quite well.

Thursday, the models are pointing to another system that could bring
further strong winds.
