Philip - MET Éireann report on their website the totals to midnight
yesterday. Dublin Airport is credited with 12.4mm and Casement only 0.6mm,
so those figures look in line with yours.
I've looked back at the radar images for the evening. There was a distinct
band of showers, heavy at times and moving roughly east, over the north
parts of Dublin. The south side, where Casement Airport is, largely
escaped.
... we were happy with the figures quoted; just can't (adequately)
explain the intensity! The high-resolution radar imagery confirmed the
very localised nature of the downpours as noted above.
