An article by the BBC entitled "How could a tornado hit London?"
Perhaps it got fed up with Londoners feeling of self importance like the
rest of us?

The beeb has a delightful waste of space known as 'Newswatch' which is where
the beeb can tick the box that says "listened to feedback from viewers" and
then promptly ignore any complaints and go on as before. One yesterday was
about the news being far too London-centric. The coverage of the London
tornado was mentioned, noting how much coverage was given to it, whereas
there was effectively b*gg*r-all about the Gloucestershire one or Aberfeldy
& how the Brum one got hardly any coverage compared to the 2.5 hrs
continuous coverage as lead story on News24 of the London one. Naturally
they had some bod from News24 in attendance who did the standard thing which
is, in effect, "Thank the nice little viewer for writing in, but I'm an
important media editor/producer and I know best and we shall go on doing
exactly what we've done before as we know best. Patronising? Moi?"
