Default Glasgow December rainfall record broken already?

Local TV is claiming the Glasgow rainfall record for December has
already been broken - 10.3 inches. Is this correct?

Not bad considering we aren't halfway through the month yet.

Well, the November rainfall record there was smashed out of
sight too. Let's have a look.

http://www.climate-uk.com/monthly/0512.htm tells us that the
previous record in the Renfrew/Abbotsinch/Bishopton series
which began in 1921 was 261mm in 1999 ...

a quick perusal of my current spreadsheet

.... but this month up to 18z has had 241mm, so, no, not yet,
but it's getting close. Maybe they are using a different
rainfall series.

Inveruglas (above the top end of Loch Lomond has had
over 1100mm of rain in the last 40 days ... I'm not sure if
I can have the statistics easily available but that sounds
extremely unusual for such a period.

StephenB may have some tables of max rainfall for
different periods ... Stephen?
