Maximum at Whaddon, just SE of Salisbury just reached 4.2 C yesterday
(19th), the coldest day so far this winter.
Temp dropped below 0 C at 0200h this morning and reached -3.8 C at
0900h, the coldest night so far this winter at this site. Surprisingly
the fog that developed mid-evening yesterday had completely gone by
this morning with it confined to the Avon valley. It is now a beautiful
cloudless winter day without a breath of wind. This should herald a
very cold night tonight.
