CARDINAL RULE

don't buy a radio with a weather band
buy a radio with only weather radio on it or a scanner that will scan that
frequency
put up a outside antenna and have the cable run less than 50 feet
buy the best VHF antenna you can afford
by best I mean the most sensitive and has the most RECEIVE GAIN you can
afford
