There has been a lot of debate recently regarding whether Global
warming is actually taking place, or whether it is only happening in
certain regions of the World, such as North West Europe, and in
particular the British Isles.
Now much of the basis for Global Warming, although not exclusively, has
been placed on the Central England Temperature series (CET), which
clearly shows a warming trend since 1900, I would like to throw down a
challenge for others to join in and find similar temperature series for
the six (6) locations on each of the Worlds continents as listed below.
I will then create graphs from the data.
It's already been done, and shows that the warming is indeed
global. Have a look at

I've always considered global warming with an open mind, not especially
critical, neither am I especially against the concept.
However currently here in, a cool part of, the generally very temperate
Isle of Man (especially winters, which tend to be very mild). This
winter so far has been non-existent, we've had the usual severe gales
but so far no frost. Our house is at about 300 feet, in a valley amongst
the hills, which tends to be a cold spot but so far I've yet to record a
below freezing temperature. In the garden all the spring bulbs are well
advanced, the primroses are in flower, as is the spring (March) gorse.
Something is going on, that is for sure, not saying I know just what
exactly but it certainly makes me think.............?
