Let's see now. Seismographs are being used to determine the location and
strength of earthquakes, to try to predict tsunamis, to learn the
interior structure of the Earth,. And they seem to be doing a bangup job
of it.

So explain to me your complaint again?

My complaint is that the point of the set up is merely to detect.
Actually the idea was sold to the rest of the world in order for the
NSA and whomever in the US security services, to find out all they
could about nuclear testing.

I.e. spying.

None of which is any of my business and although it is good to know,
this knowledge is of itself a dead end. Perhaps if the majority of the
posters on here were a little bit more than crosses between
reciprocating machines and echo chambers, more might be accomplished
with the machinery.

Still, fortunately for me, I for one don't seem to need the help of the
posters here. There is a shower of **** on here who want nothing else
than the status quo held and no use whatsoever made with such data as
is available.

The way I see it is that every guess should be treated with respect not
by the hoots of the buffoons on here such as yourself. But then I am
more than a little eccentric. Or is that I am just that little more
perspicacious than you?

So in other words, you'd rather that people repeat your particular brand
of Cold War paranoia and the blatherings of the kooks than pay attention
to the real geology that is occasionally presented, and you have more
respect for the kooks than for the geologists.

Welcome to my killfile.

It's easy to say a war is so important your neighbor should go fight it for you.
