They were still planning to go ahead at Edinburgh until 3 hours

midnight, despite dire weather forecasts for that part of the

country...

But you can perhaps see why ... looking at the 20z analysis light
winds are not that far to the north of Edinburgh! Unfortunately no
metars available for Dundee.
