Oregon Scientific. Yea, I have heard of them. Looks real interesting
especially as it is wireless. The 15 sec windspeed sample might be a
downside... as we get hurricane speed gusts up here where I live during
'canes and nor'easters.

I really don't care for the connectivity as they don't seem to have any
software that supports Mac... same thing as the WX200.

Can you get the basic model 'without' the software? Curious.

When I got mine the software was an option at extra cost
which I've never bought.
There's a DB9 socket on the display unit if I ever do.
One issue I had was when mounted on the same pole as one of my HF
antennas, there would occasionally be an RF overload causing the
microprocessor in the anemometer to have to be reset, all solved by
relocating it to another pole.



How does your weather station hold up in harsh weather like snow, sleet,
and ice?
