Happened to watch the Countryfile forecastjust now and the presenter
said that the depression on Friday 'might be the last as there is not
much developing after that'.
So is that another way of saying we might get a build of pressure
somewhere near the UK?

That didn't go unoticed with me either, and is the merest
of tiny hints. However all that will probably happen is that
instead of the conveyor belt of depressions and W/SW winds
we get a few days of cooler but still pretty unintesting from
a sever winter wqeather point of view, showery and blustery
NW winds.
