Winds have been gusting to 40-45 mph all day here in the Otter Valley
despite relative shelter to the west and SW. Mean wind speeds around 22-25
mph. Now gradually weakening.

As you say, I think the gusts were a bit stronger further west, in and
around Exeter.

(mean 15 min) WNW, gusting 27 mph, Rain last 24 hrs 2.0 mm.
