A very wild start to the new year here in the Yorkshire Dales. Rainfall for
the first 10 days is 127mm with 37.6mm on the 8th & 43.8 yesterday. Rivers
and becks in flood. Maximum temperatures are currently 3.9C and minimum 3.4C
above the 30 year average.

On the news tonight, Wensleydale certainly looked like it had seen a lot
of rain (more like Lake Wensleydale!)
Only 37mm so far this month just east of the Dales.
