Morning all,
According to that New York Times Sq. webcam the temp at 0430 local
yesterday was plus 12C ,this morning at the same time it's minus 7C
!!.Now that's what you call a polar outbreak.
I see our outburst of winter is now forecast to last about three days next
week, with a bone chilling maximum in the south down to 5C.Shouldn't the
Met Office be sending out early warnings for old age pensioners to keep
off the streets and apply immediately for cold weather relief handouts ?.
According to that mighty organ 'The Times ',the wettest place in the
country yesterday was High Wycombe with 80 mm.,you certainly kept that
secret Norman.....,before GW set in the rain was much better organised
than now, will those halcyon days ever return..?
Finally ,can I now use my hosepipe to pump the flood water from my garden
back into the drains ,or will that upset the aquifer level readings for
Thames Water ? .
.
RonB, in parched Essex
Confederation Bridge a complete whiteout.
