Heavy wind?
if I was being pedantic I would say that
The MO got that storm spot on but vastly exaggerated a lot before that
one and surely that storm could have been spotted even by A GMTV
forecaster (It was).
/pedant
I think it should be called the Big Brother Storm ...sans teacup.

Let's have a pedantic morning.... what is black ice called when it covers a
white road ,
when does 'fresher' become miserably cool in summer, and why do the Met
Office allow D.Corbett on television ? .
Finally (pedantic off) nobody on this illustrious group as far as I can see
has congratulated the Met guys with their amazingly accurate storm
forecast,since Monday in fact..
Perhaps we should actually congraulate their computers, but lets not be
pedantic !

I was criticising Radio Scotland and GMTV for the use of the term heavy
wind and heavy gusts yesterday - ie that you can have heavy rain/snow etc
but not heavy wind.Today I thought, what about light wind - that is ok. Am
i just a weather nazi or is heavy wind wrong?
Another thought, what will yesterdays storm be called, it cant be just the
18th of jan 2007 storm can it?
