Default This current high pressure

Any thoughts on how long this current high pressure system will dominate the
weather for ? My own feeling (and it is that, not very scientific I know) is
it will probably disappear in a week or two and allow the low pressure
systems back in again. But I would welcome some expert opinions on this.

Weather in this part of the world is very dynamic and for a blocking
high to stay where it is for more that a "week or too" would be
unusual. Highs normally only last for more extended periods around the
azores or in winter siberia and possibly Greenland, more rarely
scandinavia.
