I see there is a severe weather warning for HEAVY snow, up to 5cm ;-) ,
for most regions Midlands southwards, for early hours of this morning.
Issued 2231z. Must be expecting some intensification or a " just in case"
as we've had in the past.

Dave, -0.9C, RH= 85%

Heavy snow up to 5cm?? Do the MO know what heavy snow is?

"Snow falling at a rate of 2 cm/hour or more expected for at least two
hours."

Current radar returns indicate 2-4mm/hour, which, if taken literally,
translates to 2-4cm/hour of snow.
At 2345Z the rate was briefly 4-8 just south of the Humber.
