3.5cm here in Coulsdon, Surrey and a winter wonderland as snow settled on
every twig and branch as winds were very light as the low moved south.
Conditions for drivers difficult on the roads this morning in area due to
the hilly nature of my locality. The snow fell heavily and covered up the
grit put down yesterday evening. Cars and lorries could not negotiate the
slopes. Conditions have eased due to further gritting and traffic now able
to proceed.Temperature still below freezing at 10.00hrs.

I'm not good at estimating snow depths but I'd say around 3cm? Not
enough for pulling a sledge but perfect for snowman building. Managed to
get a decent size one built before the school run plus a snowball fight.
Temp 1.4C now so I dont expect it will last long.
