Spot on for South Oxfordshire, we had 5cm this morning in a low lying
area. I think that is the deepest snow we've had for about 4 years. I'm
sure the Chilterns just south of me had at least as much if not more.
Not so much as a flake in Stafford.

I hear the reports, but still maintain that ain't heavy snow. And what I
haven't heard is how long the snow fell for.
Around 2cm fell here yesterday evening til past minight, toal period was
over 3 hours. We can often get 4 inches in an hour from showers off the
North Sea. If sea temps hadn't been so high some of today's heavy wet snow
showers would have shown some fairly rapid accumulation.
My other point about no warning for Northern England still stands.
