Hi, All,
Further note on yesterday's high temperature here.
Copley Met O site, 253metres
09Z - 09Z Max 13.1C Min -0.6C (grass -8.6C) sun 8.8hr
Lead Mill, 218metres
09Z - 09Z Max 7.5C Min -3.5C
Same small NE Pennine village, sites barely 300 metres apart. Fancy
forecasting temperatures accurately to 1degC during calm, clear
conditions in hill country anyone? This is not an unusual winter
occurrence btw.
253metres
-218metres
= more sun for the higher elevation and thus a much lower temperature.
Obvious.
No?
In the UK the trend is that the more sunlight and insolation you get,
the more heat you lose. Am I the only one who knows this?
