Default Late Fog

One of those days when the fog comes when everybody thinks it won't!

Here on the top of the Cambridgeshire mountains (142 metres ASL), it
dawned clear, but I could see that it was foggy over the lower ground
to the north. Then the fog rose up the hill (this frequently happens)
and had effectively risen to be above our hill (as thin low cloud).
It has settled down again (1400 hrs) and looking out the window
suggests visibility about 500 metres.

Now I am sweating about an inbound flight into Stansted due later this
afternoon. 14 year old daughter is returning from a school exchange
in Lyon. Some airlines (eg my own when I flew BAe 146s) don't have
Cat 3 landing equipment (economically not worthwhile so the argument
goes). I just don't know if EasyJet can use visibilities (RVRs)
below 300 metres. I guess I'll find out later today!
