Default Forecasts up the spout!

I do realise that snow can be notoriously difficult to forecast accurately
but I'd be very interested to hear everyones thoughts about the last 2 days'
weather - especially the fact that todays snow was completely unforecast
just 24 hours ago - maybe the first front was just a decoy for today's
weather :-)

Carol Kirkwood on News 24 yesterday afternoon said this current band of
rain would only affect southern areas and the south Midlands with the
leading edge getting some sleet or snow and most other areas would have
a quiet but still cold day, then on Saturday another band of rain would
spread from the south west and produce heavy snow in North Wales and the
Midlands that was the one I was interested in but as you say it's
happened today.

Snowing very heavily here and as been for some time.

Current temp 0.2c
