Default Aberdeenshire snow

Sheet of ice when I cam back through the Glens last night.
How come they can de-ice the Dramlich but not Foudland?
Dave also in Fochabers

- The Glens are higher up than the Dramlachs so colder
- The Glens are shaded by the hill to the south so the sun
couldn't thaw the road
- The Dramlachs is open to the west so snow melts there more
readily
- It's a different local authority ... no, that won't wash, it's
a trunk road so it's not the local authority's responsibility.

I came down the Dramlachs yesterday in mid-afternoon and it was
clear of snow then, so there would have been nothing to freeze
when the temperature dropped after sunset.
