Default Aberdeenshire snow

- The Glens are shaded by the hill to the south so the sun
couldn't thaw the road

It was not frozen until late on. Bear Scotland sub contract
to
Aberdeenshire/Moray Council depending on which bit of the A96
is frozen.

I wonder whether the contracts are identical?

the road lends itself to run off causing problems - poor
drainage/design.

I've noticed that myself on occasion.

Dramlach cleared by Moray/Bear is steeper so run off clears
more easily (into
the High St?)! therefore not so susceptible to freezing (into
the High St?)!

I think it probably goes into the Burn rather than on to the
High Street, but it certainly clears more readily.

Sorry OT but as I drive it every day close to my heart as both
councils know!

Well, at least there's not a problem on the roads today.
