Default Frost free Winter anywhere in UK?

In article ,

I've seen several threads on here about the mildness of the winter (DJF).

Forgive a naive question from a newcomer, but have there been areas of the
UK which have had no air frost (so far) this winter? If so, would this be
unusual?

What about an entirely frost-free calendar year?

I suspect those things would not be uncommon in the Scillies.
