At this rate the 37.1C record will be absolutely shattered.
40C anyone??
Of course I'm joking there's no way we are suddenly going
to put a whole 3C onto the record, but I guess 38C is possible.
However the really hot air is currently being squeezed into an
ever decreasing area in the south and east and what with all
the storms about even some overspill cloud development in the
SE at the wrong time would be enough to take a couple of
degrees of what might have been.

Anyhow, it looks like the storms have largely cleared my area,
currently on 19.2C and will probably just about reach again the
max of 21.0C I recorded in some hazy sunshine this morning
at around 9 O'clock before the thunder arrived.
