about the record temps, there is a batch
of heavy showers moving out of france.
This could destroy the record hopes
if it comes across which it seems to be doing!

Looking at the speed of movement NE the Channel cells, London should
have at least 2 or 3 hours grace before they arrive. Here on the
Solent coastline, there's absolutely *no* cloud development whatsoever
as at 12:40 BST.

With London City airport reporting 35C at 12:20 BST, and several
others at 34C, I think the record will go.

It's a mere 30 C here at the moment, light SE wind and completely
cloudless.
