1750GMT - Lightning flashes and rapidly darkening skies seen to my
North, thunder heard too. Bright evening sunshine however, as large
soft hailstones start to fall - it looks nice outside as they are
lying for a while. Temp 7.0C

1759 Here's hoping for some thundersnow. Getting darker - sun's now
gone in. Huge lightning flash and nearby thunderclaps.

1801 Mod to heavy soft hail and rain with a complete but thin cover of
hail, very pretty...and pretty dark, too.

1806. It's now stopped. Temp down to 5 deg C. Thunder and lightning
now moving away and well to the South. Second bit of fun today!

And finally (I think!) there was a heavy and quite prolonged snow
shower (which I missed due to watching TV!) at around 1930 which left
an almost complete cover of wet snow and this is still covering cars
and grass nearly an hour later. Temperature is now down to 2 deg C.

Very nice!
