Barring the odd hiccup we seem to have had a prolonged period of dry, fine
weather down here since the beginning of May, almost continental in feel.

Hasn't been that noticeable to me, true it's been often dry and fine,
but it is early summer after all! There have been short wet periods,
the first 10 days or so of May, and around the May bank holiday, and
even the rest of the time some days have been cloudy. The persistent
cold, wet Mays of 2002 and 2003 - now they I would call unusual...
