How do you killfile a particular poster so that you don't need to read
anything that person says? I use Google Groups and can't see how to
do it. It would be useful.

Unfortunately there is no way of killfiling in Google Groups.

But you can set the default to show you who started the post and thus
avoid the thread. Unfortunately I forget how. I have Firefox set up
like that but IE just shows the last poster!

The drawback is that The threads are rearanged according to the last
poster in IE whilst older threads get buried in Firefox. Hence the
reason I am using two accounts.

Luckily I have the strength of character to avoid those posters I do
not wish to read. But usually there isn't anyone I should like to
avoid so that is OK.

I have heard there is a downloadable add on written by Google for
killfiling in their groups but I think it just refers to their
immitation usenet groups. Try one of their help groups.
